TTRFU sends condolences to Parry's family and colleagues

Trinidad and Tobago Rugby Football Union(TTRFU) president Leslie Figaro has extended condolences to the family of Ian Parry a former English detective based in T&T since 2006.

Figaro noted that Parry had gotten involved with the local rugby fraternity sharing his experience and knowledge whenever his work scheduled allowed.

" He made many friends . I speak for the T&T Rugby fraternity when I express condolences and regret at his passing. He was a very pleasant man who developed a great passion and enthusiasm for T&T,its culture and future. He will be missed." said Figaro

Parry,47,A deputy director of the Special Anti-Crime Unit (Sautt) was killed early Sunday morning when the car he was driving crashed on the Churchill-Roosevelt Highway.The accident happened shortly after 1 am. Police said Parry, a Special Reserve Sergeant of Sautt, was driving east along the highway when he apparently lost control of the car. The vehicle, police said, slammed into the traffic lights, flipped several times and landed a short distance away on its hood. Director of Sautt, Brigadier Peter Joseph, said Parry’s untimely passing came as a shock to his colleagues
