Rugby mourns death of Parry
Feb.03.2010

LESLIE FIGARO, president Trinidad and Tobago Rugby Football Union has expressed his condolences on behalf of the organisation to the family, colleagues and friends and Caribs Rugby Football Club on the sudden passing of Ian Parry.

Parry arrived in Trinidad and Tobago in 2006 to join SAUTT. He immediately got involved in local rugby joining Caribs Rugby Club where he contributed by assisting with coaching duties.

Once his work duties permitted he attended most of the TTRFU events and was known for his generosity of spirit and willingness to share his rugby experience and knowledge .

Parry’s sense of humour left an indelible mark on all those who he came into contact with. He fell in love with Trinidad and Tobago and for many who count themselves as his friends and colleagues will miss him immensely.

Parry’s family has decided to hold the funeral service followed by his cremation in Trinidad.

The service will be held at 9.30 am on Friday at the Trinity Cathedral in Port-of-Spain followed by cremation in Long Circular, St James.
