The Trinidad & Tobago Rugby Football Union’s (TTRFU) 2018 Domestic Rugby Season commences on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at the Queen’s Park Savannah, from 11:00 a.m. with the traditional curtain raiser, the Solomon Hochoy Ruggerama Tournament.

The tournament is a one day affair played between all the teams registered with the TTRFU. The games are played for 10 minutes a half which makes for a very fast paced, up tempo style of play. The season opener comes on the back drop of the Trinidad & Tobago Senior Men’s National 15-A-Side Team grueling home wins against Bermuda and USA South.

The mood in the fraternity is a very up beat as the National Team’s success is expected to rub off on the quality of play in the domestic league. Manager of the National Team, Ronald Annandsingh said that the League is opened at an ideal time, as it will give the National Selectors another chance to look at players with the away game against the Cayman Islands coming up soon.

Defending Champions in both the Men’s and Women’s Divisions will be looking forward to a repeat performance this year.

Saturday, June 23, 2018 promises to be an action packed day of rugby at the Queen’s Park Savannah in Port-of-Spain, and members of the media, public and the rugby fraternity are invited to turn out and support Trinidad & Tobago rugby.
