Don Sucre has been packing experience into his twenty plus years rugby career. As a new player, he spent a year in Guyana honing skills which he brought back to his School’s Team. By the following year he made his National debut on the Under 16 Team. After two years on the National Under 19 Team, Don switched his focus to Coaching to work on providing for others the type of opportunities that he enjoyed as a youth. To accomplish this, he has done extensive work in the Schools Union and as a Youth Development Officer, coaching numerous boys and girls School and Club Under 18 Teams, and facilitating local leagues and international tours.
Don is the founder of Young Pelicans Academy, Co-Founder and Vice President of San Juan RFC, former Head Coach of the Women’s National 10s Team, and Head Coach of the Women’s National Under 18 7s Team.
An advocate for education, he has completed certificates from World Rugby and the Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee (TTOC) in Coaching and Sports Administration which he applies to his continued achievements in Schools’ and Youth Development.
