The Trinidad & Tobago Senior Men’s and Women’s National Rugby XVs Teams face major Rugby Americas North (RAN) Championship Test Matches this Saturday, June 6, 2026, when they take on regional powerhouse, Mexico.
These fixtures form part of the RAN XVs Championships, the premier International Rugby Competition for Member Unions across the Caribbean and North America.
The Trinidad & Tobago Men’s National Rugby XVs Team will host Mexico at the Larry Gomes Stadium in Arima, with kick-off scheduled for 4:00 p.m. This encounter serves as a highly anticipated rematch of the 2025 RAN Senior Men’s XVs Championship Final, where Trinidad & Tobago fell 45-14, to the hosts in Mexico City. With home advantage this time around, the National side will be eager to reverse last year’s result and make a strong start to their RAN XVs campaign.
“Mexico is always one of the toughest teams in the region, but our players have prepared well and are ready for the challenge”, said the Men’s Head Coach, Dale Trotman. “We are looking forward to performing in front of our home supporters”.
Tickets for the Men’s match are available at the Larry Gomes Stadium, priced at TT$30.00 for adults and TT$15.00 for children.
Meanwhile, the Trinidad & Tobago Senior Women’s National Rugby XVs Team travels to Mexico City to face their counterparts at the Deportivo Harp Helú Grounds, with kick-off set for 2:00 p.m.
The Women enter the fixture in excellent form following their 27-13 victory over Jamaica on May 16, 2026 and last year’s memorable 18-16 triumph over Mexico in Trinidad. They will now attempt to secure a second consecutive victory over their Mexican rivals.
